Weekend Update & Meet my Bug!

This weekend was a crazy busy weekend. It was my brother in law's birthday, so I made a spiderman cupcake for him. I wasn't thrilled with it so I refuse to show pictures. Lol. I made a jungle cake which turned out better than I thought I was able to do. I was so proud of myself. :)
Before we get to that, let's start with Friday!

Friday we had ordered some food and had cake with my brother in law. Lilly picked out a card with Mickey Mouse on it. Can you tell she is excited for Disney in May? lol. She told me she wanted to write her name, so she did with a little bit of help. (I had to show her the letter first)After she wrote her name she wanted to write Uncle Matt, so again with a little help she wrote his name:
So proud of her. :) When we were at my mom's house, she asked what shape the table was and when we told her it was a rectangle she said "a rectangle? It has 4 sides" I couldn't believe it. She seriously surprises me all the time.

On Saturday, we went to my cousin Kaden's birthday party. He had a jungle theme and requested a cake with a lion on it. This is the cake I made for him:

He had a great birthday. I can't believe he is already 3. Time really does fly.
Lilly had a blast and I love seeing how she is with other kids. I always thought that she would be too shy but she jumps right in and claims that everyone is her friend. I love that she is so social. I anticipate a lot of phone calls from school. haha.

After the birthday party we went to grandma and papa's house so that she could go snowmobiling.. She LOVES it. She asks about it all the time. I feel bad that I didn't realize that she liked it so much and that the season will be over soon. I hope that she can get a few more rides in. I ended up buying her a helmet so that she could ride on the trails with papa. I was trying to be practical and buy a blue colour so that Lukas could wear it afterwords but they only had her size in pink, so I took it as a sign and bought the pink one. :) She went out saturday night and kept telling papa to go faster. tehee. Makes papa proud!

Sunday was more snowmobiling for Lilly and Papa. Lukas and I hung out with grandma. He is getting 4 molars at once so he has been a bit of a handful lately. I'm just trying to snuggle him and help him to feel better. teething bites. ;) I'm always excited to get home though and see dh. We went out to get pitas and than came home to watch some Olympics. Soo much more exciting when it is in Canada. :) GOOOO Canada. :D

I'm looking forward to Monday. It is a new holiday called Family Day. Everything is closed but I'm looking forward to just hanging out with the family and playing some games. Wohoo!
